During May 2014 Bosnia and Herzegovina has faced biggest natural disaster in its modern history, during which 30 people has lost their lives, tens of thousands of people has been dislocated, thousands of them have lost roof over their heads. Unprecedented rescue operations were lunched, as water is returning in its river bends whole country along with diaspora is on its feet trying to help those in need and gather aid as soon as possible to repair what has been damaged.

Although these elementary disasters have caused catastrophe and have endangered safety of the large number of people in B&H, in our chronicle we will be addressing questions if it was possible to avoid this, or reduce it on a greater scale. Our
opinion is that because of the inadequate response of responsible institutions, all level of authorities, corruption, lack of preparations, and even because the fact that this is the election year (In October this year will be general elections in B&H), consequences of this natural disaster are far greater.
